But all the project participants realised that the current version of the sensors and the processing system in general could not be convenient for everyone, especially as the actual acquisition of data from the sensors required certain qualifications and skills that are completely unavailable to our real users.
That is why the next stage was the moment when work on the next version of the project was started. When the data from the sensors will be collected into an application on the phone using wireless data transmission methods (BT channel). And the application on the phone will send a full-fledged dataset to the cloud storage, which will be available to Gilberto, to receive and process the data.
Oleg Voloshin
And then Oleg Voloshin actively joined the project. Oleg’s main professional background was writing embedded software for many devices that the company produced before the war, but never before in his life Oleg had nothing to do with working with android App.
Two processes, Android and IOS were going to be launched in parallel. But due to force majeure circumstances it was not possible to acquire the opportunity to develop for IOS. And one more problem was to be solved – the equipment on which Oleg could deploy android studio and start developing a mobile application.
Alas, finances were difficult for everyone. Everyone had exactly those finances that were in their wallets at the time of leaving Kharkiv. Thanks to mutual help from indifferent people, who could help financially at the moment of stopping in temporary accommodation, a certain amount of money was collected. Due to such small investments it was possible to collect not new, but very high quality equipment and to provide the developer with a successful PC model that met all the required parameters.
On the provided PC Voloshin deployed an android studio and started writing.
Kotlin is fundamentally different from C.
In parallel, we realise that we have only one set of sensors on hand. At the same time, being in Ukraine under the current circumstances, it is impossible to make a second set of sensors.
At that moment, the evacuation measures from Kharkov continued. And two brave guys decided to go to Kharkov to evacuate the elderly. At that moment they visit the Tov Lot office and pick up another working set of sensors.
Thus, there were two sets of sensors on hand for testing.
Dmitry Oparin
By this point, Oparin and Voloshin had picked up a connectoid with some semblance of an app and sensors. At that point it was possible to collect data from 4 sensors on the phone’s APP. This was the first version of the project when after each workout we didn’t have to take the microCD out of the sensors and download data from there. We were able to take the data over the air via bluetooth and store the finished data set in the cloud.
